PIERCING FAQ's
How do I book a piercing at Artmageddon?
Piercings can be booked online through our bookings page. If you’re unsure which service to select, message us on Facebook or Instagram before booking. We can also be contacted via email, hello@artmageddon.co.uk
What is the minimum age for piercings?
Ear lobes: from age 7+ with parent/legal guardian present.
Most other piercings: from age 14–16 with parent/legal guardian.
Nipple piercings are 18+ only
If you are under 18, you MUST have a parent/legal guardian present for all piercings
Do you use a piercing gun?
No. We only pierce with single-use sterile needles. Needle piercing is safer, more accurate, and causes less trauma than piercing guns.
What jewellery do you use?
We use only implant-grade titanium or solid 14k/18k gold jewellery from trusted brands including BVLA, Anatometal, Junipurr, Buddha, and Neometal.
How much do piercings cost?
Our minimum cost is £35, which includes classic titanium jewellery. Gold and premium jewellery are priced separately.
Can I get pierced while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. For safety reasons, we cannot pierce anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Please wait until after this period to book.
Do you offer check-ups?
Yes. We recommend a check-up at 6 weeks, where we can also downsize your jewellery bar if needed (£10 fee).
Where in Macclesfield are you?
You’ll find us on Church Street, near Macclesfield Town Hall. Our studio has three floors, private tattoo and piercing rooms, and is fully licensed by Cheshire East Council.
